R. Heinlein’s suggestion was, ‘Only Honorable Discharged Veterans will be allowed to vote.’

yeah well that book is extremely fascist
And your point is?
I guess I don't know what your point is. My posts argued for increasing democracy by expanding access to voting; you brought up a fascist novel that argued for decreasing democracy by greatly restricting access to voting.
You imply this is a Republican-only strategy. Each state does this within its own borders; California and Oregon certainly do this. We are a digital nation. Increasing democracy would require a Constitutional Amendment granting Universal Suffrage from birth or naturalization AND a true National ID.
oh it's definitely not Republican-only! Partisan gerrymandering and prison gerrymandering are definitely dominated by Republicans though. Democrats are cowards and don't want to appear "weak on crime", so they collude on disenfranchisement and things like three-strikes laws.
White Democrats are also champions of racial gerrymandering, where they draw districts within Democrat-dominated cities to weaken Black and Latinx voting power.
