Yay Iowa! Congratulations Catelin Drey on her victory. Democrats and Independents are finally showing up in special elections for change. People are starting to see Republicans for what they are!! www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/p...

What I read was that there were 7,619 *total* votes. In a paltry turnout like that, I'd say Ds showed up and everyone else stayed home, which shows how Rs and Is are reacting to OBBBA, Epstein, and military takeovers of cities. I think few people changed their minds. But a win is a win!

See, almost 800 votes in this context is a big margin; in a Presidential year, I believe it would be relatively tight. A win is a win, and all I'm trying to do is tamp down a little on the enthusiasm I'm seeing that AFAIK is *not* based on "swing voters" changing sides.
