Because decoupling from a country where we have had a long term integration of supply chains takes time. It cannot happen over night. Look at the 'wins' that are being given to USA, they are less impactful now, but gives us time and makes them feel good. Meanwhile we are setting up to move away.

Did you miss the part about them coming for our rights? Like unreasonable search and seizure which is part of the legal rights section of the Charter, the same section Carney scolded Pierre for saying he may use the NWC? Come on...he's doing the same things Pierre said he'd so, in a different way.

And don't say if you have nothing to hide, it shouldn't matter because that's a cop out. The Charter is integral to our legal system and playing around with any of it affects us all whether we know it or not. I worked for the federal prosecutor and I fully understand why those protections matter.

I'm not sure that's what's happening exactly. Carney appears to be a man with a plan, and 1000 times smarter than Trump and his goons. I agree it looks bad, but I'm holding onto hope that we just don't know all the facts yet.

He's sold out Indigenous People. He's tabled a border bill that's all about responding to Trump's bullshit, not about keeping us safer and includes powers that will allow for mass deportations. He's investing is carbon capture in AB which is nothing but greenwashing to buy oil and gas more time.

People are so focused on Trump and the economy, they're ignoring a much bigger picture that shows Carney to be bowing to him in every single way. How can we actually trust him after we've seen him bending the knee time and time again? He met with oil and gas CEOS before auto workers hit by tariffs.

The words used may be different but Carney is actually doing many things Pierre promised to do, like fast tracking the Ring of Fire...something Carney is keen to do himself because he's hung our entire future on critical minerals, but provinces own the resources. Notice how oil and gas is exempt.

Sorry but I've seen way too many reg flags and I'm far too pessimistic to believe that I'm seeing what's not there. It's all there when you really actually look. The most telling for me is the complete turnaround of Conservatives - they've voted unanimously in support of all Carney's done.

Ever been in a car accident! That's what happens when things happen suddenly! A decoupling at a controlled and managed rate will save lives and jobs. Those that think we can just stop! can't see past their own fear and don't see the entire picture! This decoupling will take time.

If he wants us to decouple, then why is he trying to negotiate with him? We have a valid trade agreement. Any tariffs outside of it are illegal. Period.
