Can Dems win them back with economic arguments? I think a lot of them might be lost to culture-war issues. I think that’s the big question - how many working-class former Dems can be won back with progressive economic policies, versus the number of professional-type swing voters they’d lose.
The argument is economic because progressive policies benefit the 99%. However, the real argument is progressives are fundamentally different from neoliberal dems because our loyalty is not divided between you, the voter, and monied interests that often trump your interests. See lack of Medicare4all
