I really appreciated the experiential language you used for what philosophy should and shouldn't do. The concert comparison really got to me because I have so many memories of having that moment in a crowd. I hadn't noticed how no intellectual pursuit has ever let me feel that.
I always hated that "the REAL version" line of rhetoric and didn't notice when I had myself gotten hooked on that rush but it was making me such a nightmare to be around. Thank you for helping me move on from a part of myself that I hate, sorry that I'll be watching less as a result.

Yeah. It's a good platform, I try to use it more than YT, but its format pretty much guarantees only the biggest channels get invited. Which is a mixed bag, it means smaller really good channels get overlooked, but it also means people like James Somerton out.

MeansTV also exists. It's similar to Nebula, but explicitly Leftist, & does have smaller channels on it. Not saying its right for Micheal Burns, I don't know his situation, but as a consumer of philosophy content, its a decent alternative.
Oh; I forget her name, but I was reading a Twitter thread by a Physics YouTuber who cross posts all her videos onto Pornhub, & while she gets nowhere near as many views on Pornhub, she makes substantially more money off of it.
Worth noting the videos are otherwise exactly the same. She isn't doing the Naked News thing where she stripe while lecturing, she keeps her clothes on in the videos. She was a very attractive young woman though, I am sure that helps on Pornhub.
