They’re illegal in the Republic of Ireland - it has had zero effect on reducing the quantity of them being let off around Halloween. But I imagine in the Netherlands there'll be actual enforcement...

I don't know how it is in either country but in Germany fireworks are banned (& unavailable( throughout the year. You can buy them only ahead of New Year's Eve. When there is a run on shops. 🤦♀️
