This week, I delivered an 80,000-strong petition for a wealth tax to Downing Street. A 2% Wealth Tax on assets over £10 Million would raise £24 BILLION per year. And the polls show that 75% of the public supports a wealth tax! Let’s keep campaigning until we get one.

The public will always support taxes paid by someone else. The point about taxes is that they should be efficient to collect (I.e. raising more money than is spent in collecting them) and be difficult to avoid. How does a wealth tax measure up?
