Have you ever switched phones on Android where it actually worked seamlessly? I use Linux I don't care but still amazed android is as popular as it is.

funny i'm on fi and was switching from pixel 6 to pixel 9 and it was still glitchy. not terrible, but definitely not something my relatives could have handled on their own. fi couldnt activate initially - had to delete an e-sim that somehow was still there after a factory reset...

I've just switched to a new Android in the last week (Samsung to Samsung), and it's been incredibly smooth.

i went pixel 6 to pixel 9, maybe that is the issue :)

Ooh.... I would have thought that would have been one of the most seamless routes. The pixel 6 was still getting Android updates right?
