I once watched a future school deputy head tell kids that Thatcher was a feminist icon. That was about 7 or 8 years ago.

Ah, the NE of Scotland is very different from the Central Belt. Very Tory and, I suspect, very open to Reform's empty rhetoric.
I don't doubt that those who would have voted Tory before will now vote reform. We just have to make sure that they understand it's being pushed by the same liar that pushed the shitshow that is Brexit. For some people, cruelty is the point. They won't care.

I remember my parents and my grandmother referring to her as just that. An evil witch. Universally hated by all but the wealthy in Scotland. Yet she seems to be loved and almost revered in most of England. She damaged the country just as much as Boris & Farage did with Brexit.
She was worse, sold off everything that wasn't nailed down. (And it wasn't hers to sell).
