lots of places around baltimore do not allow young people to hang out with each other without an adult around. one particularly absurd one excludes *16-year-olds*. i’m only in my late 30s but i remember being dropped off at the mall to see a movie etc all the time as a kid.

It's pretty wild, because in SF or Seattle, kids are on the city bus without parents at 10 or 11. You know, the cities that are supposedly on the verge of being burned to the ground.
