There are lots of fact checkers who comb over these numbers looking for inaccuracies because a mistake could cost literal billions in investments. They will be looking even closer after Trump’s actions. If they find something that smells, they will not be silenced.

The problem is that he's fired a lot of the data collectors already. So where are they going to get the real statistics? The obvious signs will be what you see in your own community/city/state.

There are independent fact collectors as well. Banks don’t rely on just government numbers.
