I know some Latinos who voted for Trump. They want the door shut behind them. They literally voted for deportations.
I spent half of last year in northern Michigan and every Trump supporter I talked to only complained about “illegals” and how they are hurting our country and are coming to our town to hurt us and eat our dogs. I know some are struggling economically but they blame it on illegals and Biden.
This isn't complicated: a very large population of Americans is very low-info when it comes to politics and the news, and a large population of voters is hooked to the right-wing media ecosystem which feeds them lies about what he's doing and its great harm. This is how Trump won.
