It’s not a good move politically. Dems will be blamed for the shutdown and that means a lot of people will stop getting vital services.

Oh no! I don’t give a rats hiney about what looks good politically! Shut it all down!!! The entire country halts for as long as it takes to restore democracy and get the three branches to separate again. This is a five alarm fire and if we don’t put it out asap, we’re all fucked.
