That is why I say a Paul Fenton who has held every role in an NHL front office. Have Fenton bring in a younger exec who can learn the job under Fenton just like Fenton did by working all of the roles to learn and understand them

Does Dolan just not care about these things or does he just not understand?
I think Dolan cares about his own ego, he gets to be power broker doling out the Knick tickets. Other than that I just do not know
Indont want Mike Sullivan anywhere near the Rangers either. Trotz completely embarrassed him in the playoffs a few years ago and he won those two cups with loaded teams. From what I read, Sullivan doesn't have much use for young players either.
How could he start ridding the twam of these albatross contracts? I never hear Panarin name being floated and he probably wouldn't waive, but that's an $11.5 million savings and he would bring back value. Drury will extend him unfortunately, if he stays.
Trocheck has 12 team no-trade but they wouldn't want to move him as he keeps BFF Miller happy. They will regret giving Fox and Igor NMC deals as nobody is going to want those contracts as their play has struggled
Panarin has just one more year on his contract, so odds are he would not waive him NMC until mid-season of his contract year. Mika might waive his NMC but the NYR would have to retain a ton on his contract. Kreider has limited no-trade but who would want him?

Yes I already use them
So we are basically screwed for a few years, just like I've been saying?
No we have been screwed for the past 31 years. Where have you been?
Drury will continue to trade whatever draft picks.and young players he has at his disposal and will hire Sullivan as HC, instead of a young, first time HC.
We are screwed with the cap is what I was saying. The cap actually saved this team from itself in 2005. Under Drury, they have forgotten that the cap exists, unfortunately. Drury will do way more damage if he stays.
You realize that you are telling this to the guy who said Drury was a mistake from day one?
It seems as if Drury was in a big hurry to hire all of his own people and force everyone from the old regime out. Drury may be a control freak.
I'm starting to think that Drury may have demanded the Presidency when he was hired as GM. Drury has no oversight, other than Dolan. Gorton answered to Sather, and then JD. You would know better than me, did Gordie Clark have complete autonomy over the draft before Drury was hired?
Unlike Drury, Laviolette will find another coaching job right away. He will collect his millions from Junior and laugh his way to the bank
What do you think of Dave Hakstol? From what I know, he's very prepared and is good with young players. I think he got a raw deal in Seattle.
Hakstol? He has no business coaching in the NHL. He is a college coach, he had no business getting the Seattle job in the first place
I don't know that Laviolette gets another job at this point. This is his sixth stop already. He want in demand anywhere else two years ago when the Rangers hired him. They were able to get away with giving him a three year deal, instead of the standard four years, because he had no other options.
No Drury was in no position to make demands when he replaced Gorton. Sather told him what to do and he did it. With Slats gone Drury has been planting his lips on Junior's rear end. I expect his job is safe as Lavu is going to take the fall.
