And as much as I dislike reading about Panarin's alleged sexual assault, I still question why the Athletic waited until the very last game of the season to publish it. I think Dolan is going to be more upset knowing that NYR employees talked to the media about this story than he is the alleged act.

Yes, he is going to get away with it, you're right about that. The team and it's image will suffer for it though. The only way we will ever hear anything is if a criminal action is brought, which is 99.99 percent not happening.

If the Rangers did an actual investigation, everyone who was there was interviewed about this. If MSG thought there was no credence to this and there was no evidence after a thorough investigation, then why the settlement and NDA? If they had nothing to lose, why settle?

As much as you 99 percent won't agree with anything I write, here goes it anyway. How do you know exactly when the info was leaked to The Athletic? Strang may have put it out as soon as she confirmed it. It very well may have been a disgruntled player or staff member who leaked it.
