First, Newsom is not doing anything. He’s mean tweeting. All talk no action. ICE is still acting illegally in his state with protection from California law enforcement. Second, if you’re falling in love with Newsom then you learned nothing from 2024. Or 2016. Or 2004. Or 2000.

I've never voted for Newsom in CA and won't ever vote for him for president, but he IS doing something by countering GOP gerrymandering in kind. We can debate the merits of the move, but IMO it's nice to see Dems not roll over for once.
