Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Sinema kinda considered a consensus choice from both Progressives and insiders for Senate by the time she ran?

She was a former green, so most progressives in state didn't object. But observing from California I was horrified, seeing how far right she'd already shifted in the House & the rhetoric she used to justify it.

No; progressives knew exactly who she was, based on her behavior and voting record in the HOUSE. She wouldn't have come within 40% of winning a Dem nomination for Senate, without Schumer engineering it.
