My MAGA family members still support trump. Nothing I say can change their minds. They get all their “news” from Fox. Dems have nothing that has the same reach or influence to counter the onslaught of lies from right wing propagandists with their fear mongering, fake outrage, and blatant racism.
Yes, well the Dems / left have to start working on this problem somehow. Like I said, it will take a moonshot. Big goals, strategic, long-term, play to win, etc.
Americans have been marinating in decades of Russian disinfo & Fox lies. 30+ percent is in a mind-numbing cult. Pushing back is a huge challenge. I agree we need messaging --EVERYWHERE! Some ways to spread message: Fund Local and State candidates (Run candidates in EVERY race!) Billboards, pamphets
Yes I know there are a lot of efforts going on to try to address the situation. I've contributed to some in the social media space - media properties, influencer networks, etc. But I think someone needs to be looking at the big picture, to identify gaps, measure progress, recruit new /1
projects, stategize, think creatively, etc. /2
