When is the best time of the year to visit Cape Breton and Nova Scotia in terms of good weather?

Summer into autumn. Autumn in Cape Breton is breathtaking/ Hotels are busy foliage season..so book accordingly. Summers can be hot/humid, autumn can be wet with hurricanes, but generally late Aug-early Oct is my favorite time of year.
