Chants of #FREEDC ring out as Vance and Hegseth visit with national guard troops in DC. It makes me angry and it makes me sick that people like that think they can just take over any city they want. Those national guard troops interacting so nicely with them should be ashamed of themselves.

Yeah, thatβs what the Nazis said too. The US military code explicitly gives them the right to object to carry out illegal orders. Nobody gets a passβsorry. My Vietnam veteran father said that heβs never seen such shameful kowtowing behavior from soldiers in his life.
I agree with you itβs justβ¦ Hardly anyone has shown any courage and Iβm not expecting it from the military. We are a nation of cowards. For me, it is easy to speak up as I have less to lose. But these soldiers will lose their livelihoods and they are probably living paycheck to paycheck.
