The IRS allows teachers to claim $250/yr of their own income toward classroom materials; which at an effective tax rate of 10% gives them a $25 tax break, which is so little. Please contribute a book or pillow or materials to your kids' classrooms.

Teacher's materials: It is $300 for 2024. The TCJA did away with a lot of w2 expense deductions, but not for military or teachers. www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc...
