Very cool!
Very cool!
This is unbelievable 🙏🏼
WOW! That is really cool.
This sounds a little like the solo part of a Leroy Anderson work.
Impressive
this is incredible. wow
Wow

❤️😳😀
This is so much fun. What a neat way to make art!!!
Wow!!
@drjaydrno.bsky.social check out this sorta typewriter, it's so fun
That kind of typewriter art is phenomenal!
I agree!!
Okay, actually muting this one because I'm not interested in the typewriter discourse.
That is awesome! It reminded me that in typing class in the early 70s, we had some very simple typewriter art.
this is so cool!
What a brain. It’s gorgeous
❤️ 📌
That's literally insane 🤯
That is amazing!!
💥✨INCREDIBLE !!! I Love It !!!💝
These were the bridge to modern computer graphics - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Telepri...
Oh...oh my goodness. I have two antique typewriters, and seeing this has made my heart SO happy. What gorgeous art!
This is nothing new. When I worked at NASA in the 80’s we printed out greyscale maps of Landsat images using regular printers and pretty easily identified ground features.
Hello, I'm Bashar from Gaza. Can anyone help me create a donation link to help my family? Thank you.
Bloody hell.
That is sooo cool!
That's AWESOME, one-shot, one-chance direct to hardcopy ASCII art.
ASCII advanced
That’s astonishing
Brilliant
Amazing!
Wow.
Wow
😎
Super cool!
Wonder if they used Tippex. It’s a great skill!
😍
This makes me wish that I had kept my aqua-colored Smith Corona manual typewriter that I trotted out to type late-night/early morning term papers left largely unfinished until the last minute. (apparently still available on Ebay at a bargain price!)
Love it
This is wild!
Ascii artists may argue that this is actually the best "type" of art. You've supplied a truly spectacular piece. If you are interested in cityscape art may I suggest you check out artist Ben Sack. He uses very fine point pen rather than a typewriter but the results R awesome. Free sample
This is some next level ASCII art
Holy shit. @clivethompson.bsky.social have you featured this guy yet??? www.instagram.com/jamescookart...
omg no, that's amazing, thank you! will put him in the next Linkfest
As the daughter of a (retired) typist, I love this!!
Omg
Bitchin'
📌
This is amazing
Obligatory @moxiest.art reference if you want to commission similar work (or just enjoy their posts).
took like a month off of posting any art eventually got our confidence back but, fuck. his style and technique is completely different than ours but, it's hard to compare with someone's whose work is at such a scale.
I appreciate both Cook's work and your own. Remember, where and when is part of the artistry. If something is happening or if there is a vibe, you can bet I'm happy to see " @moxiest.art meet's the moment again!"
Whoa!
Oh my gosh! This is incredible! I love the old typewriter too.
I had to look for his TikTok page cause WHOA 😱
Creative people amaze the heck out of me! The world needs art, culture and music!
God that takes extreme Talent! My talent is drawing a straight line with a number 3 pencil and a ruler. IYKYK
I can't even imagine envisioning this line by line.
WOW! 😎
I did a much simpler, monochrome version of this in my secretarial studies class in high school (which absolutely dates me, I know!) when i'd get bored in class! I am beyond thrilled to see someone else doing it, and both better and in more detail than I ever did!
Wow, that is insane. People are entirly to creative. I would be lucky if I could draw a stick family...
Who is the talented artist?
Floating across the Instagram post I could just make out the artist name. Found his website. jamescookartwork.com/about/
Awesome! 🤓 I might need a thrift store typewriter.
To leave on your desk for a month then sticking it in the closet?
I wrote about 300 letters to friends and family and a dozen or so songs on my last vintage typewriter. 🤨
I had a vintage Underwood and sold it to a school teacher because it was collecting dust. There are those who have nostalgia for such things, but I am not one of them. I miss the buzz of a dot matrix printer.
I always loved stripping the edges off of the paper when I was a kid. 🤓
My father filled his downstairs office with vintage office equipment including an industrial mimeograph machine and a 1940s teletype. I know the allure. I played with everything. Enjoy.
Your dad sounds like a pretty cool dude. Cheers to Papa Noodle! 🙂
Wow 😳 that's awesome!
Amazing
😮
Well I enjoyed watching the artistic typing summary in action just now 😎
Gobsmacking! The precision, patience and artistry needed to do this - never mind the using of an old typewriter (which absolutely kills your fingers and wrists!) genuinely awesome
Wow 👏😽
This is pure talent wow!
Wow!
Now this is my TYPE of artwork.
This is awesome!
