Not what caused that fire. The truth is easy to find.

I was agreeing with you, so you can lose the snark. The house was built by Joss’ father and it was uninhabitable, so utilities were cut. A heater started the fire. Perhaps one or both men had mental health issues. Lost in all of this is that if an armed man shot an unarmed man that’s murder.
I wasn't trying to be snarky. I apologize if it came across that way. I have some inside sources as I spent my entire professional career in the entertainment industry in a legal capacity and still have contacts there. I just wish someone had done an intervention before Jonathan was killed.
I'm going to presume that the fire started while they were not there as presumably had they been there the pets would have survived. I'm a little perplexed, if that's the case, and they knew there was issues with the heater, why leave it on when not there.🤷
People do that all the time. Maybe they thought they were keeping the dogs warm? All of this will come out over the next little while.
But this whole story seems a little convoluted. That the property was deemed uninhabitable is a determination that the city, county, fire department, someone must have made, and presumably someone must have requested the inspection...
And then why continue to live there?
If the mental health issues were bad enough (perhaps a hoarding situation, for example) they may have been unable to get the men to leave quickly enough. Joss’ father built the home in 1957. I’m sure there would be emotional attachment in that case.
Last interview speaks volumes, sadly. "I've already lost everything, my house burnt down. I ain't going to give up drugs. I ain't going to give up drinking. They're my friends," Joss explained. It gets worse. www.mysanantonio.com/entertainmen...
