"There have been no counter narratives from Labour. There have been no attempts to fact check some of this stuff." Rylan's TV rant about migrant hotels was packed full of right-wing misinformation – and our government have done nothing to stop its spread

Time starmer did a government announcement/place TV/Newspaper Ads to once and for all tell everyone what these "asylum seekers" get/don't get. Phones? Yes/No. Ipads? Yes/No. Are these hotels still 4* or just buildings that were 4* hotels and are now just buildings? Etc. Spell it out loud and clear.

Labour have accepted the RW framing on immigration since Starmer became leader. They’ve accepted the RW framing on *everything*, it’s why they’re snookered now, they have to solve problems as if they’re Tories (we need 21st century solutions, not a weak toast pre-Brexit Tory cosplay act)

Rylan's appeal is largely that he could be a normal person. That he's using far right propaganda to talk about migrants in hotels is worrying, it's mostly a miserable, disconnected life lived by people who are traumatised. Labour should show courage and be open about how hard it actually is.
