I've been noticing this for months on Shorts. At first I thought it was one creator, but no, it's YouTube AI upscaling shorts. And you know what? It looks HORRIBLE. Just makes people look smeary and wear. And if there is an older, grainy clip, it's completely unwatchable. My god it's so bad.
I did video editing for a while and omfg I would be pissed if I were these creators. Basically, I don't want to watch shorts anymore. I don't actually mind Shorts all that much for some creators but if it's going to be so bad and distracting, what's the point???
Oh my god, I thought it's the creators themselves who did this, and always thought it's absolutely horrible and unwatchable...
Right??? I almost commented on the creator's shorts to say that the AI upscaling looks bad and wish he would stop, and I'm glad I didn't because I would feel really bad!
