My tripod is outdoor curious, but not a fan of her carrier so having her outside in that didn’t work. Then I got a backpack style carrier that has a spring loaded foldaway tunnel (on the back side, not bulky). She loves a tunnel so she likes it, but cautiously, because of the loud outdoors sounds.

My Scrat also prefers the Great Indoors She'll look out when I have the door open, and once, she even put a paw on the top step before retreating back inside She prefers a nice window, or as we call it, the Nature Channel
