Publish on KDP Amazon or other similar sites. The formatting, typesetting, cover and co: either you learn how to do it or have someone else doing that for you. That may cost something but certainly not 20k!🙂

And the important thing is that when you truly self-publish, you always retain control of your copyright. Vanity publishers will let you pay them to take away control of your work essentially forever.

Really great info which I appreciate! I will probably need some help. It’s weird how a couple of people I know who have published basically said “Why should I help you? I had to do it.” But I also know someone who I think will treat it differently & I know his prices would be fair😊
