It will get crowded once the patio furniture goes in, but when my kid lived here it was a hoarders paradise full of scrap metal and things found at curbs, so I get fussy about it. I understand his creativity, but it was also the staging area for a remodel and that was hard.

[nodding] My partner and I have been working on our garage since I moved in here at the end of last year. Two middle-aged people with many years of possessions that, even when pared down, still make for a fair amount of STUFF.

Our last house was 3 times the size of this one because my mom lived with us. It took years to get that under control, or close to that. Plus the monster collection in the basement takes up a lot of space.

I can only imagine! 👹 It's getting better for us b/c our kids are getting more settled into their independent lives elsewhere (ergo, they need to store less w/us), and simply b/c we've had a little bite of time to evaluate and discard and arrange things.

Also, it seems I've hit some point of semi-satiety with books, so I'm holding steady around 1,500. 📚
