I could care less about the grieving parent(the kid got what anyone fighting for Russia deserves), and I'm more worried about how someone can maintain a security clearance, let alone a high level position at an intelligence agency with this kind of life/family situation.

Having a child who is mentally ill isn’t a security threat. And it wasn’t known he was fighting for Russia until after the fact.
