Why is it on Democrats?

Because they're getting paid six figure salaries by taxpayers (plus millions of lobbyist $) to be the last line of defense of our democracy, and failing miserably? Republicans keep doing things Democrats have told me were impossible and Democrats keep doing nothing saying they're powerless.

People in public office get paid to perform functions of that office. No one is getting paid to be the last line of defense of our democracy. Everyone elected to public office takes an oath to protect and defend our form of government, not just Democrats.
