Chill out. The Democrats' problem is that many in their base want them to fight harder to promote their principles and policies. That puts wind at their backs. Remember, the 2024 election was close. Dems picked up House seats and prevailed on most ballot initiatives.
Any analysis that ignores or doesn’t include the past 7 months is very questionable in my view. We’re a big party that welcomes you Joe, but please don’t try to shrink the tent. Particularly in the face of what we’ve lived through this year and have yet to face.

How many people are going to see your headline? How many will read the article? Can you write an Op/Ed in the NYT, WaPo, WSJ? Even USA Today? Are you influential enough to be interviewed for network nightly news? The more eyes & ears on this story the better.
I haven’t done any polling so possible confirmation bias but as someone who voted for more republicans in my life than democrats and lives in a red state I don’t know a single person who has gone from dem to maga but I know quite a few that have gone from Repub to dem, or at least anti Trump.

It’s getting damn near impossible to believe at first glance just about anything one reads or sees today. It’s practically mandatory to perform one’s own research to try to confirm the validity and accuracy of the information. It’s not just AI, there’s also deliberate obfuscation to deal with.
Single source information is a dangerous thing these days. Do your research! Question everything no matter the source. If only people had researched Tariffs, they would have understood who pays the price in the end. If only they had research deportation and the impact it would have on the economy.
