Knowles supports eradicating what he calls an ideology. How incredibly "conservative" to feel superior enough to decide what other people may believe & live by. How "conservative" to ignore or debase the lived reality of other humans. So "conservative" to place oneself as final arbiter public life.

Why are they so obsessed with a tiny percentage of people whose only crime is living their authentic selves rather than say rampant gun violence killing their kids in schools. Canada + Europe don't have that problem. V rare. It's an American problem - far bigger than where someone pees, no?

While this seems like a nice enough sentiment on its face, I can’t help but wonder if adopting language predominantly used by transphobes (e.g., “transgenderism”) is part of the problem.

Michael Knowles is well known to me, and probably to the majority of gay guys in America, because he was me, until I had the courage to be out and proud. The closet is a terrible place that does terrible things to people.

Look at how the native Americans treat Trans gendered people and we can see how religious fervor is the issue, not trans people.
