As someone who is pretty far left within the democratic party, you did not piss me off. I think your gun stance, while I disagree somewhat, is a position that can absolutely work towards compromise solutions to reduce mass shootings.
I would destroy all my guns if that would save just one schoolchild’s life. Of course, I keep my guns locked up in safes and my ammuntion in another, so they are not the problem.

I would think for the sake of our children, the left and the right could find some common ground to end these mass shooting and the taking of innocent lives! It has to happen or you all become the problem and the blood is on your hands! I am tired of the excuses!!
Sadly, the right is not interested in any adult conversation. It’s no different than saying that believing that Putin wants peace. They are beyond brainwashed, they’ve become robots. These people won’t get it until it personally happens to them, sadly. I’ve tried many times. They don’t care.
The right refuses to support any restrictions on guns. But, there are things regular citizens can do.
When you accuse all right refuse, that statement does lead to shutting down any conversation. If only we could start looking at people as people and not a particular group! I like to think we have common ground when it comes to our children!
True, but when the discussion turns to guns, there are those who listen to certain media outlets who vehemently oppose any restrictions on gun purchases. I know, I have tried to have conversations with many in that camp. Of course they care, but they have other ideas, like guards and locked doors.
In this case he was on the internet and those who read his post said nothing! People of all ages hear or see something need to be told they have a responsibility to say something to an adult or an authority!
