surprisingly, the only one of any shock value was being taken to the Castro theater by a buddy & his partner for an audience participation screening of Showgirls. that made anything ever done in a Rocky Horror show pale by comparison 🤣

Showgirls is Verhoeven's unintentional masterpiece- it's the best cross genre flick ever made- artfully shot, a decent cast and as a mystery/romance/action/comedy/buddy flick/horror film it is unrivaled, blowing the doors off Army of Darkness. screech's flick- THAT was scary.
