I was gonna say that. I’ve made a sort of ice cream with it.
I tried it once and it was one of the worst things I have ever put in my mouth. And I like cottage cheese.
Lactose being a sugar that gets removed during the process so I think companies add back sugar into it, which does alter the taste a bit yeah. It's different but I got used to it eventually. I wish they didn't make it so sweet though.
I still have issues with lactose free milk - I may just be allergic tbh. I always have to do oat or something non dairy based.
