92% of them are in the US alone and the reason is American culture. We are truly exceptional in our ability to see shit that isnt really there, patterns that dont exist and then assuming those imaginary things make us special somehow.

Because UFO sightings are a culture based superstition. Its our version of the Loch Ness Monster. The US is basically the *only* country that routinely claims to see UFOs. No other countries, including those other than in Africa "sees" UFOs to the extent the US does. Its a part of American culture.

The charitable explanation is the US has a waaaaaaaay more extensive military aircraft and weapons testing program than *any* African nation so that could explain some of it
