Ran into one of these Great White Herons in my front yard the other day. He/She was just a few feet away. Outstanding majestic creatures. I slowly back away leaving it in peace. It kept an eye on me the whole time. ❤️

Wasn’t sure about the one in the photo because of the shadow. The one in my yard was a Great White. Both are stunning every time I see them.

I had never heard of a Great White Great White Heron's all-white plumage, which is a distinct phase of the Great Blue Heron limited to South Florida.
