I know that logic & rational thinking is anathema to doomer posting, but if Trump/the GOP have a cheat codes to unending electoral victory, why arent they deploying that for elections in VA, where they are about to lose a governorship, NJ, or NY, where their preferred candidate is drowning?
I think the people dooming believe they don't need to worry about those places because of other locations they've got such a tight grip on.
If stealing an election is so easy and all they have to do is parachute in a few NG troops and then they win, why havent they talked about that *at all* for any of these elections coming up in 2 months?
Well, in fairness, they are talking about sending the NG to New York City, it’s just not clear that voter suppression would hurt Mamdani more than Cuomo

Not to argue the point, but why would they talk about that openly? I don’t necessarily think it will work, but I do think it’s their intention.
Theyre talking openly about their other ratfuck the election plans (gerrymandering, killing VBM) and he also cant keep his mouth shut about how hard he his to deploy NG around. I dont think he's capable of strategic silence.

Yes, that's what I said in my other post. It's not clear how (or even if) suppressing turnout, or even suppressing turnout of non-white voters, would actually hurt the candidate they want to hurt.

I’ve realized a few things over the last year: - A lot of folks don’t know how to function if they aren’t living in a pit of misery, assuming the worst & trying to bring others into the pit w/ them - A LOT of folks also treat social media as their outlet when they should probably see a therapist
I mean, I agree that people are dooming too much, and that the elections are harder to rig than people think. But I feel like the GOP is obviously going to try harder to rig next year because control of Congress matters a *lot* more than control of the VA governorship.
