I don't see the contradiction? They're saying being a twitter/facebook user does less than nothing to resist fascism, even if you use it to complain.

100% Sure seems like as long as people have their phones to distract them, they’re happy to complain but not do anything else It’s fecklessness, apathy, and laziness. You can’t complain about a situation when you’re doing absolutely nothing to stop it from happening

What CAN we do though, other than complain online? You’re right, absolutely. But short of voting in 2026, we are stuck. Economic protest is effective (getting off the apps) but that cuts us off from communication to fellow complainers, isolating us. Which adds to the helplessness.
