Because individuals brought up with conservative values don’t like change. You could offer them a job double what they make, the only catch is that DEI is real strong at the new place. They’ll have to work will multi ethnic, homosexual, and trans folks. They’d turn it down in a heartbeat.

Yearsss of generational lack of education, racism, misogyny & overall hate & fear of "the other". Also churches prefer the status quo & ppl prefer to double-down than to acknowledge they were wrong. It's really, really dumb.
