Yes, that is incredibly on-brand for him. I still can't understand how half the voters in this country couldn't see this, or worse, didn't care.

If it's any consolation, 2/3 of registered voters DIDN'T vote for him, or at least of the votes that got counted.

They didn't see it b/c the GOP has spent nearly 50 ys running psyops on the base to get us exactly here. They keep the base purposefully uneducated b/c they are easier to manipulate and control. The fear-mongering and gaslighting work on the base for a reason www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/mind...

Interesting read. Once again, it seems the accusation was a confession. Liberals are called "irrational" and "sensitive" because conservatives actually are. And, of course, they're against mental health care, which would give them the tools to rationalize and manage the anxiety.

It's deeper than just that. Conservatives tend to have a larger amygdala, while liberals tend to have a larger anterior cingulate cortex which is the activity center for empathy in the brain. www.scientificamerican.com/article/cons...

Thank you for that read. Although it makes me think about how my parents went from teaching young me to treat people with dignity and compassion and to listen to science, to avidly supporting the widespread abuse of marginalized groups and being RFK-parroting antivaxxers. The article states that it/

is unclear if we begin as we are or become as we are... and to me, my personal experience makes an argument for it being that it changes as our lives develop. (Or my parents only ever meant cishet white people when they were teaching me values, and I applied those values to a much wider group.)

The nature vs nurture debate has been going on for a long time. The general consensus seems to be it's a combination of both. Our life experiences shape us as do what we normalize as children from our home environments. Disabled children weren't required to be allowed to go public schools until 1975

Many have never had any exposure to certain groups even now. It's why so many people think that things like autism or ADHD just popped up overnight. They always existed, it was often covered up or for many, never diagnosed. Parents are getting diagnosed with their kids in a lot of cases.

And social media has done so much harm. More harm than any good. And the average person doesn't even know enough to know what they don't know. The Dunning-Kruger effect is strong in far too many these days. Cognitive dissonance is also a problem.

It's been going on for decades. This didn't happen quickly or just recently. And the propaganda networks like Fox News are a huge part of it. youtu.be/tmaKl0Zm2c4?...
