I don't mind Faerun so much. Far from my favorite, but it's fine. (It's at least a step up from Oerth/Greyhawk) I DO mind the Sword Coast. It's legitimately one of the least interesting parts of the setting.

I honestly just feel like it's so very cliche at this point that most beginning DMs literally are likely to default into a mildly adjusted Faerûn whenever they make their initial homebrew. I dunno.
