We burned AOC over an amendment to a bill no D voted for and to this very day you can find people who will argue to the death that not only is AOC some secret evil Isreali plant but also she was lying and besmirching the name of Palestinians. I'm really sick to death of it.
At SOME point, we HAVE to touch some god damn grass and reckon with the fact that we can't punch our literal allies in the dick constantly. I'm not even saying "Play nice with Joe Manchin" I'm literally saying "Accurately and truthfully state what's happening."
There is no secret cabal running the DNC, no deep state, no corrupt organization that so perfectly controls everything, cause if they DID exist, they are doing such an absolutely heinously terrible job that they would be laughed into a coffin and promptly die of embarrassment.
The DNC, is, at best, a loosely connected tangled web of interpersonal party sects all trying to band together to get literally ANY governing done, meanwhile Republicans operate a party the way people think the way people dream the DNC operates.
Cause if the DNC was a secret monoparty where cash was king and everyone bent to serve the whims of AIPAC or whatever boogieman, it would be SO god damn gratifying to act like a nihilistic oppressed genius and NEVER have to reflect on what is actively happening in a meaningful way.
The sad reality is that the DNC is a largely leaderless organization which leads to factional fights for power. Some people abuse that power (Pelosi and primaries and stock trades) and others get denied that power trying to do the right thing (Omar) and at a certain point that's how it is.
I can't express in enough words how I'm almost certain you actively ignored some of this in order to be outraged. Cause that outrage feels REAL good, but at some point, is it actively meaningful to be grudge matching over Cori Bush? What about McBride's AIPAC ties? Is she defined by those?
The main takeaway: You can either make it so the DNC loses and then we ALL lose, or you can actively embrace the fact that progressives and leftists have been gaining power in the DNC and have some nuance and understand it all a bit more. Or just ignore all this cause that's the most likely outcome
