This would only cover the federal civil rights conviction. The state convictions of murder and manslaughter would still stand and he would still have to serve that sentence. (Unless Minnesota’s next governor is a Republican who would be more likely to issue a state pardon.)

Careful of not falling into the trap. Releasing someone like him is bait to start protests where Trump and Musk will insert the violence, blaming the peaceful protesters. This allows them to impose martial law, giving them reason to ignore 1st ammendment. Next will be the 2nd.
