Did you guys know that "cool CSO" Rory fucked underage students & is now such a raging transphobe that he's been banned from Timbers games?

Rory lost his mind on Facebook, the first I saw radicalizing in real time. It was illuminating.

That was wild. He was actually a contributing factor to me ditching Facebook, though I still have my account for Marketplace.

Rory was the reason I avoided Facebook when it had a real name requirement. He's the reason I've never posted a picture of myself on social media. He's the reason I didn't graduate. I would like him to burn in hell.

Christ I'm sorry and I guess not surprised based on my limited interactions with him.

So cool that a guy who teaches women self-defense is a predator. Remember when people found out there were a couple of predators teaching Poekoelan at One With Heart, & Janesa Kruse knew about it & did nothing?

I didn't know about the Poekoelan thing. I did know about Bill Bradley, definitely the guy I was thinking of. I never knew him, beyond his extremely predatory reputation. I have never heard a kind word about him.

The Poekoelan classes at Reed had an appalling injury rate, but Ann Casey was close friends with Janesa Kruse, so the dean of students never heard about it until I told him. Getting them kicked out & saving Renn Fayre were my proudest Reed community accomplishments.

I'm all too familiar with Rory the asshole transphobe. I knew him vaguely when we were students (we both drove the Nightbus), but I didn't know he was a CSO/predator. Unless I'm confusing different Rorys. I don't think I am.

He was a CSO for a few years in the early 1990s after he graduated. He stalked & harassed me until I decided to take a year off, got into a car accident and never graduated, whee.

I was there 89-94, so I guess I didn't notice he was a CSO. I do remember him as a student.
