If she was an adult feral and someone tried to rehome her, it NEVER went well. If he/she has bonded with you, it will be more complicated. I've successfully rehabilitated at least 8 animals. I could give some pointers if you're intrested.

I would only take her to a shelter. Being in rescue, I've seen the damage of cats being used as training fighting dogs. Don't put her in that situation. Please, please don't.
oh this cat is at a shelter! she has been for like 4? years now. we are adopting her from a very reputable shelter, shes just had bad experiences w a previous home. shes being fostered now and is a real sweetheart. i just feel bad shes been waiting so long for a forever home
Thank you for letting me know. I've had to get after a few ppl who were trying to find animals new homes. They just don't understand what they are doing.
yeah for real.... i think ppl are way too careless adopting cats even *from* shelters, let alone trapping. i was very upset just hearing someone tried to adopt this sweetheart and then gave up because she was human shy and "took too long to warm up" when ofc she does, shes a former feral 😭
Yeah, see, they're everywhere. That would've wound me up. Ppl used to tell me that I'd make a good cop. I was thinking at one time of joining the ASPCA, so I would be the enforcer. I think I may have been really aggressive, too aggressive. So I never checked into it.
I'm glad you've got some knowledge under your belt. Thank you.
