I will once again recommend The Lathe of Heaven as a novel extremely in tune with these times.

I should reread that. My husband and I quote it at each other. “Get the aliens off the moon” is our family shorthand for being careful not to make things worse.

Outstanding book, and I'll defend the TV movie as a very OK adaptation. Don't anybody skip the book tho, read it first!
