Based on my superficial observations of what actually seems to get done well in San Francisco, we just need to call every public good project a park. Public restrooms? Park. Affordable art studios? Park. That empty condo building? Boom it's social housing run by the parks department.
We have nine public pools and a bison paddock. Those are endeavors of some complexity.
When I was pregnant in 2020, SF public parks had the most reliable clean bathrooms of anywhere I went (and I had to go to a lot of bathrooms).
We'll call this one "Yimby park"! You like that, don't you?!
