Watching them nibble away at the remains of a BBQ and fly off with their loot is quite a thing.
And watching them trim old wood panels for construction materials.
Wasps are chill, it's the yellowjackets you have to watch (look for their unique side-to-side flight pattern before landing)
This time of year, anyway. (When they're raising their young, give them a sacrificial burger.)
We all gotta eat
I love bees, of all sorts, but I hate wasps. They're assholes.
We always share. We're the only home on our block without an ant infiltration because I give them sugar water and leave watermelon rinds in the back yard for them. No wasps here but plenty of very fine bees, I have a tiny mist spray for them.
For clarity, do you mean you leave food out for the ants? Why do they go into other people's homes? Sorry, I'm confused, because we have ants all over the garden but not in my house.
Oh sorry, I wasn't very clear. Neighbors are complaining about ants "invading" their kitchens and bathrooms. It's summer and it's warm so ants need water. I leave small bowls of sugar water out for them and they are very happy with that - they don't come inside to seek sustenance. đ
Ah, rightyho. That's a good idea then, to leave fluid out for them. Maybe your neighbours will do likewise. A little effort for peace of mind. đđťâş
That's what we do. We give them something sweet - easy...
Sacrificial melon.
Happy little buggers...for the moment...
