Boomer here. This is correct. We are saying “okay, I got it. Now stop replying because I don’t know how else to end this.” We grew up with telephones where people could say, “gotta go now. Bye.”

Lol Gotcha and I completely understand. Also, I meant no disrespect. My fiancé and I always laugh when our mom’s and aunt’s don’t know how to end a conversation and we get the “👍🏾” Emoji. We know it’s time to wrap the conversation up.
